Freight Flow Associate (Overnight)

About the role

You will operate a forklift to safely move, place, and position merchandise pallets while complying with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics. The role involves receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise and supplies, maintaining facility safety, ensuring proper merchandising presentation, and providing member service.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts following company standards and guidelines to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets safely.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers, identifying priorities, and adapting to feedback.
• Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow, correcting shelf capacities, and completing required documentation.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, setting up displays, processing defective merchandise, and monitoring shrink and security risks.
• Ensure club pickup orders are filled by assisting with order picking, staging, and auditing for accuracy.
• Handle inventory by tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, controlling shrinkage, and reporting poor inventory practices.
• Operate and maintain forklifts safely, reporting unsafe conditions or equipment issues to management.
• Proactively assist customers with technology services, identify shrink opportunities, and maintain equipment and product organization.

Requirements

• 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
• Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Customer service experience.
• Retail experience.
• Experience supervising a team.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may range from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
