Freight Coordinator

Description

Virnig Manufacturing is a family-owned company based in Central Minnesota that designs and builds high-quality skid steer loader attachments. Since 1989, Virnig has grown by focusing on strong products, reliable service, and long-term relationships with dealers and customers. The Freight Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation of freight to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role serves as a liaison between customers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams to schedule shipments, track freight movements, resolve transportation issues, and maintain accurate shipping documentation.

Compensation & Hours

• $26.44/hourly
• Hours: M-Thursday 7 am - 4 pm, Friday 7:00 am - 1:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, or freight coordination
• Knowledge of manufacturing and/or machinery is helpful
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP software preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Key Responsibilities:
• Cook up to 75 lbs.
• Regular exposure to repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmet, ear plugs, and safety glasses.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmet, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
