Freezer, Cooler and Deli Stocker Associate

About the role

You will ensure high-quality products are available for our members by maintaining clean shelves, temperature control, verifying expiration dates, and disposing of lesser-quality food products. You will also pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers, stock displays, and maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area. Responsibilities

• Maintains safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to management.
• Maintains the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the Freezer/Cooler/Deli area by:
  • Properly handling claims and returns
  • Receiving and stocking merchandise
  • Setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays
  • Removing damaged goods
  • Signing and pricing merchandise appropriately
  • Completing required audits, paperwork, logs, and other documentation
  • Securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise
• Provides member service by:
  • Acknowledging members and identifying their needs
  • Locating merchandise and assisting with purchasing decisions
  • Providing deli products to members
  • Resolving issues and concerns
  • Promoting the company’s products and services
• Follows company policies and procedures related to the Freezer/Cooler area by:
  • Complying with food handling policies
  • Operating, repairing, and sanitizing equipment
  • Following Cold Chain procedures when stocking merchandise
  • Cleaning freezer/cooler/deli area (e.g., windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers)
  • Monitoring freezer/cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation
  • Reporting issues to management

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
