Freelance Video Editor – Tech/Finance Docs

Join a creative project focused on producing high-quality, faceless YouTube documentaries in the tech and finance sectors. This role requires a strong sense of visual storytelling, with an emphasis on dark, moody, and cinematic editing styles inspired by Moon and James Jani. You will be responsible for transforming provided scripts and human voiceovers into polished, engaging videos that maintain a consistent narrative flow and visual atmosphere. Each documentary will run up to approximately 9 minutes and must be ready for immediate YouTube publication. Deliverables Edit full-length YouTube documentaries (up to 9 minutes) using provided scripts and voiceovers Integrate licensed stock footage, archival material, motion graphics, screen-based visuals, and typography to enhance storytelling Apply advanced sound design, color grading, and audio syncing for a cinematic finish Ensure all visuals are original or properly licensed; strictly avoid AI-generated imagery Reference Moon for editing style and James Jani for pacing and narrative structure Deliver final videos in YouTube-ready formats with clean exports and optimal settings Requirements Proven experience editing YouTube documentaries or similar long-form content Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects Strong skills in visual storytelling, pacing, and narrative editing Ability to source and integrate high-quality stock and archival footage Expertise in sound design, color correction, and audio syncing Familiarity with cinematic editing styles and documentary formats Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Portfolio demonstrating relevant work in tech, finance, or documentary genres Comfortable working remotely and communicating asynchronously About Twine Twine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
