About the role

Trustpair is looking for an experienced Freelance Talent Acquisition Specialist based in New York to support our Talent Acquisition team as we scale our U.S. business. You'll own end-to-end recruitment for our U.S.-based roles, partnering directly with hiring managers and collaborating closely with our Talent Acquisition and People teams in Paris. Your remit will include commercial and customer-facing positions within the Revenue department, with other functions depending on our hiring priorities. From defining a search to securing an accepted offer, you'll bring the market knowledge, initiative, and follow-through needed to move hiring forward. This assignment will suit someone who can ramp up quickly, manage several searches independently, and combine hands-on recruiting with thoughtful advice to hiring managers. Your impact will be measured through hiring delivery, pipeline quality and conversion, time to hire, offer acceptance, and candidate experience.

Location: New York City / New York metro area with in-office presence. Contract: Freelance. Target start: January 2027. Duration: Part-time, 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Own U.S. hiring from kickoff to close: Lead assigned recruitment processes through sourcing, screening, interviews, feedback, offer acceptance, and handover to People Operations.
  • Partner with hiring managers: Turn business needs into clear job descriptions, success criteria, scorecards, and interview plans. Align expectations early, share market insight, and help the team make timely, well-informed decisions.
  • Build targeted candidate pipelines: Combine direct sourcing, personalized outreach, referrals, and application screening to engage relevant talent, especially across Sales, Customer Success, and other U.S. functions as needed.
  • Run structured candidate assessments: Explore relevant experience, results, motivation, and role alignment during first interviews. Share concise, evidence-based recommendations and help interviewers calibrate their assessments.
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience: Set clear expectations, coordinate interviews across time zones, gather feedback, and communicate next steps and decisions promptly.
  • Support offers and candidate closing: Establish compensation expectations early and partner with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team on offers within approved budgets. Address candidate questions and maintain engagement through the handover before their start.
  • Keep hiring visible and measurable: Maintain accurate ATS records and provide regular updates on pipeline progress, conversion, sourcing effectiveness, and hiring risks, with clear recommendations on next steps.
  • Improve how we recruit: Share U.S. talent-market insights, strengthen our local employer presence, and suggest practical process improvements. Use AI to accelerate research and administration while applying your own judgment to candidate assessments.

Benefits

  • Direct impact on our U.S. growth: Help build the New York team through hires that contribute to our business priorities.
  • Meaningful ownership: Take responsibility for your searches while collaborating with an experienced Talent Acquisition and People team.
  • Close partnership with the business: Work directly with hiring managers and build a clear understanding of their teams, challenges, and goals.
  • Room to improve our approach: Bring your expertise to sourcing strategies, candidate experience, and recruiting processes.
  • An international working environment: Collaborate with colleagues across the U.S. and Europe who value initiative, varied perspectives, and respectful working relationships.
  • AI-driven ways of working: Join a team that values and encourages AI tools to save time, sharpen focus, and boost impact — whether you're already hands-on with AI or eager to learn.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of talent acquisition experience, including independently managing full-cycle recruitment for U.S.-based roles.
  • Experience recruiting commercial and customer-facing roles in B2B SaaS or technology environments, with a track record of delivering hires.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. talent market, including New York, and the ability to advise hiring managers
