About the role

Freelance sports writer opportunity to provide primary coverage of high school sports and outdoors news in the Cambridge and Forest Lake areas. Depending on the candidate, this could be two separate part-time positions or one full-time position covering both markets.

Responsibilities

• Cover high school sports and outdoors news in the Cambridge and Forest Lake areas
• Meet deadlines for reporting and submissions
• Capture photos as needed (competency with a camera required)

Requirements

• Passion for covering sports
• Competency with a camera
• Experience in InDesign, Photoshop, and social media is a plus (training available)
