Freelance Site/Civil Engineer for Grading & Drainage Design

GigBench has an active project for site civil design supporting a large single-family home on a large lot in Yorktown Heights, NY. The scope centers on grading and drainage design, including stormwater management planning, site layout, and drainage patterns appropriate to the property's topography. This role requires coordination with the broader project team to ensure the site design integrates cleanly with the home's overall construction plan, along with attention to local code and permitting considerations specific to Westchester County. This is a project-based freelance opportunity with an estimated duration of 1 to 3 months. Responsibilities:Develop grading and drainage plans for a large residential lotDesign stormwater management systems appropriate to site topography and local requirementsPrepare site layout drawings reflecting property conditions and home placementCoordinate with the architectural and structural teams to align site design with overall construction plansSupport permitting submissions with jurisdiction-specific documentation as needed What We're Looking For:Experience in residential-scale site civil design, grading, and drainageFamiliarity with Westchester County, NY permitting and stormwater requirementsProficiency with civil design and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on a defined scope
