Site / Civil Project Engineer

Remote within New York State or work in our Buffalo, NY; Ithaca, NY; Albany, NY; or Manhattan, NYC office. Azar Design Co is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including parks & greenspace, waterfronts, campuses & universities, stormwater/green infrastructure, urban public spaces, utility, and transportation infrastructure. Candidates will play a role in all phases of projects from design concepts through construction administration. Responsibilities Perform design work for civil engineering projects that may involve site design, grading and drainage, road/pavement design, stormwater management, utility design (sanitary sewer and water), and erosion & sediment control.Duties may include design of conceptual layouts and construction drawings as well as specifications, reports, cost estimates, SWPPPs & stormwater calculations, and water/sewer design.Provide construction administration services, including submittal review, RFI responses, site visits, and quality control.Collaborate with diverse teams of architects, engineers, landscape architects, environmental scientists, and surveyors to bring projects to life. Qualifications Degree in civil or environmental engineering, landscape architecture, or similar.5+ years of relevant civil engineering work experience.EIT preferred.Technical expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, or MicroStation.Teamwork and communication: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
