Freelance lighting technicians in NYC

iProbe Multilingual Solutions, Inc. is a New York City-based company seeking freelance lighting designers and technicians (L1/L2s) in and around NYC with live events and staging experience for set-up, operation, and strike in corporate theater environments at hotels, conference centers, corporate offices, and museums.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike lighting equipment in corporate theater environments
• Program and troubleshoot using DMX 512
• Maintain professional communication and polished image under all circumstances
• Interface with clients and work independently

Requirements

• Experience in lighting design and/or operation for live events and staging
• Proficiency in DMX 512 programming and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with the Chauvet Colorado Batten 144 Tour is a plus
• Client-friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Valid driver’s license and/or own vehicle is a plus
• Own laptop, cables, adapters, and/or other gear is a plus
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs is a plus (accommodations available for weight-lift limitations)

• Business (black suit and tie) or show black, depending on the job
