Free Woodchips
We deliver a load of freshly shredded wood chips (untreated, uncolored, and may contain shredded leaves) and dump them in your specified area—both the chips and delivery are free.
How It Works
- Pick-up or partial truckload delivery is not available.
- Availability depends on our current work location relative to your home.
- Each truckload holds approximately 10–12 cubic yards, covering about 1,000 sq. ft. at a depth of 2–3 inches.
Tree Chipping Service
When you hire Young’s Tree Tech, LLC, tree chipping is included in the price of your quote at no extra cost. Chipping condenses the space needed to haul away removed trees and limbs. Most limbs are processed through our portable, motorized chippers, which shred the material and load it into our enclosed service truck.
Cutting down a tree always involves removing the material. If you prefer the debris left in your yard, request this at the time of your quote. Most customers prefer a complete cleanup after service.
Woodchip Applications
- Mulching: Retains soil moisture, suppresses weeds, and regulates soil temperature in gardens, flowerbeds, and around trees and shrubs.
- Soil Improvement: Enhances soil structure, drainage, and nutrient content as chips break down slowly, releasing organic matter.
- Erosion Control: Stabilizes soil on slopes and erosion-prone areas, reducing water runoff.
- Pathways and Trails: Provides a natural, comfortable surface for walking paths, trails, or play areas, reducing dust and mud.
- Playground Surfaces: Offers cushioning to absorb impact and reduce injury risk from falls.
- Composting: Balances the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio in compost piles, improving decomposition and adding organic matter.
- Decorative Landscaping: Used for borders, edging, or filling decorative containers to add a natural, rustic touch to outdoor spaces.
