About the role

This individual will be an analyst within the ATM/Mobile deposit group, which is a function of the Deposit Fraud Department. They will be responsible for monitoring ATM/Mobile hold reports and Early Warning reports, evaluating account activity, placing/extending account holds where necessary, and documenting findings. Additionally, they will conduct research/reviews on transactions indicative of potential fraud and customer relationship risk, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to minimize fraud risk.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review of daily workflow to optimize time and reduce false positive reviews.
  • Conduct complex account research to ensure fraud mitigation.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of bank applications/transaction processing, particularly depository applications.
  • Work under pressure and identify and escalate systemic issues or process breakdowns.
  • Resolve systemic issues and process breakdowns as needed.
  • Meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Define and implement workflow, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and Access, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Apply strong critical thinking and analytical skills to address potential fraud and customer relationship risks.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years banking operations experience preferred.
  • Fraud experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of bank applications/transaction processing preferred (particularly depository applications).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to identify and escalate systemic issues and/or process breakdowns.
  • Ability to assist in resolving systemic issues and/or process breakdowns.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
