The Gist
The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in developing fraud analytic models for the federal government. This involves implementing fraud monitoring, analytics, alerting, and prevention strategies, collaborating with DevOps and SecOps teams, and continuously improving fraud detection models.

Responsibilities
- Implement and practice fraud monitoring, analytics, alerting, and prevention strategies
- Conduct data analytics on new account creation attempts and investigative findings to identify fraudulent trends and patterns
- Inform program strategy, LexisNexis fraud policy configuration tuning, team staffing levels, and new technology acquisitions
- Collaborate with DevOps and SecOps teams to improve data infrastructure, engineering, and software deployment
- Develop and maintain fraud models to detect identity fraud, account takeover, and synthetic identity fraud
- Maintain and monitor fraud analytics to ensure effectiveness against evolving fraud schemes
- Develop and maintain dashboards for reporting key performance indicators and suspicious activity alerts
- Conduct fraud risk assessments, establish risk tolerances, and develop response plans
- Support the development of fraud response plans including scaling procedures, scenario planning, and exercises
Qualifications
- Seasoned experience in Fraud/Identity operations
- Experience with Tableau, LexisNexis, SQL, and analytics tools
- Experience with relational and non-relational database systems
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, analytical skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and new policies
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
