Fran U Student Success Coach (Nursing)

Responsibilities

• Provides personalized academic coaching and mentoring tailored to the unique needs of students, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.
• Supports and mentors Summer Bridge Enrichment Program participants.
• Identifies at-risk students early and implements individualized success plans, regularly monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
• Works effectively with faculty, staff, and campus partners to ensure seamless support and timely referrals for students.
• Facilitates workshops, group sessions, and other programming that addresses academic skills, professional development, and wellness for traditional and accelerated BSN students.
• Maintains accurate records of student interactions and outcomes, using data to inform coaching strategies and contribute to program evaluation.
• Ensures all support services are accessible and inclusive, adhering to institutional non-discrimination and ADA policies.
• Participates in formative and summative evaluation of coaching practices, seeking feedback and implementing changes to improve student outcomes.
• Engages in ongoing professional development, maintains confidentiality, and upholds ethical standards in all student interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with student support or student life programs in higher education, preferably with Nursing or healthcare students.
• Demonstrated expertise in precepting, mentoring, and retention strategies, and/or experience in academic coaching.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Health Sciences, Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, or a related field, required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
