Frame Fab Technician - 1st Shift

About the role

Reports to the Metals Supervisor and cooperates with Welding, Fabrication, and Shipping teams to produce MIRATECH products and components that meet internal and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform sheet metal fabrication techniques including shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming.
• Operate Waterjet and Press Break equipment.
• Prepare sheet metal for welding according to specifications.
• Maintain high standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
• Interpret blueprints and written part requirements.
• Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
• Verify parts lists and ensure all components are present.
• Interpret measurements and confirm specifications.
• Cut and shape metals to prepare for welders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Experience using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience as a Metal Fabricator.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints.
