About the role
Reports to the Metals Supervisor and cooperates with Welding, Fabrication, and Shipping teams to produce MIRATECH products and components that meet internal and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform sheet metal fabrication techniques including shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming.
- Operate Waterjet and Press Break equipment.
- Prepare sheet metal for welding according to specifications.
- Maintain high standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
- Interpret blueprints and written part requirements.
- Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
- Verify parts lists and ensure all components are present.
- Interpret measurements and confirm specifications.
- Cut and shape metals to prepare for welders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience as a Metal Fabricator.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints.
