Fab Programmer - 1st Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Fab Programmer on 1st shift (6am-2:30pm). The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

About the role

The main function of the Fabrication Programmer is to use Cincinnati bend simulation and bend express software to program both the Cincinnati and the Prima panel bender.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial set-up and updates to the Cincinnati and panel bender brakes.
• Review all change management parts to the fabrication department.
• Interpret work orders including written, oral, Kanban cards, and drawings.
• Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation.
• Review programs with brake operators to make adjustments as needed.
• Participate in on-the-job training for new operators.
• Assist engineering in evaluating new product design.
• Keep the “On hold Rack” clear.
• Participate in press brake/EBE improvement activities.
• Perform 5S+ responsibilities daily.
• Provide backup support for steel/copper machine programming functions (NC Express, Metamation).
• Perform any work-related task assigned by your Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution.
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office, Enovia, etc.
• Fluent in press brake operations.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings and/or Inventor.
• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead.
• Able to read calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance.
• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years in fabrication DMM experience.

Pay

$24.00 per hour.

1st shift: 6am-2:30pm.
