About the role
Syncopted Synergy is a boutique professional services firm based in Colorado, providing interim and fractional finance leadership to growing and transitioning organizations. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role to provide senior financial leadership for a client during a defined transition.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, planning, and reporting for the organization
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and treasury management
- KPI Development and Evaluation
- Financial modeling (FP&A) development or optimization
- Provide insight and guidance to executive leadership and board members
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
- Lead key projects such as system implementations, process improvements, audits, or M&A activities
- Assistance with Debt acquisition
- Contract management from a finance lens
- Lead the finance function
- Pricing evaluation
- Cap Table Management
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
- Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
- Manage vendor relationships
- Document processes and prepare for smooth hand-off
Qualifications
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Senior finance leadership experience with ability to influence executive decisions
- Excellent communication skills for C-level and board reporting
- Tech-savvy, proficient with finance and accounting software
- Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (required)
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 8–15+ years in senior finance leadership roles (CFO or equivalent)
- Prior interim or transitional leadership experience preferred
Engagement Details
- Contract (1099) or W2 Hourly status
- Near full-time commitment expected for interim
- Assignment typically 3–9 months
- Compensation based on experience and engagement type, average rates between $135-$165/hr.
