The Opportunity: A Unique Dual Role
We are seeking visionary, enterprise-proven Chief Sales Officers, Chief Revenue Officers, and Enterprise Sales VPs who want to scale a highly lucrative fractional practice without the administrative friction of operating alone.
As an Executive Collective Member, you will occupy a high-impact, dual-track role:
- Fractional Chief Sales Officer (Client-Facing): You will serve as an embedded operator for external client organizations, architecting their commercial engines, optimizing sales processes, and driving rapid revenue growth.
- Growth Partner (Platform-Facing): You will act as a brand ambassador, leveraging your existing executive network to introduce mid-market companies, Private Equity firms, and strategic partners to The Proper Group’s broader ecosystem and suite of leadership services.
Core Responsibilities
As an Embedded Fractional CSO:
- Commercial Strategy: Architect, deploy, and optimize end-to-end sales strategies tailored to client growth phases, market shifts, or turnaround scenarios.
- Sales Team Leadership: Evaluate, coach, and scale client sales talent, implementing modern sales methodologies, accountability frameworks, and KPIs.
- Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution: Align sales, marketing, and product/service delivery to optimize customer acquisition costs (CAC) and maximize lifetime value (LTV).
- Pipeline & Forecast Management: Implement rigorous pipeline management and accurate revenue forecasting systems utilizing modern tech stacks.

Compensation & Financial Upside
This is an uncapped, 1099 performance-based partnership model engineered to create multiple, diversified revenue streams far beyond standard billable hours:
- Fractional Engagement Fees: Direct earnings from your client-facing CSO work.
- New Client Acquisition Commissions: Revenue share on first-year contract values for accounts you originate.
- Cross-Selling Residuals: Earn ongoing percentages when your clients leverage The Proper Group's bench for other roles (CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, CTOs, AI implementations).
- Executive Referral Fees: Earn when your talent recommendations are successfully placed within the collective's client base.
- Equity Opportunities: Select founding partners and high-tier contributors are eligible for early-stage corporate equity options.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Executive Track Record: Minimum of 15–20+ years of commercial leadership experience (CSO, CRO, VP of Sales, or Enterprise BD Head). Past experience owning substantial P&L metrics is highly preferred.
Consultative Mastery: Deep understanding of modern sales ecosystems, digital transformation, CRM architecture, and B2B client acquisition.
Trusted Network: Active, established professional relationships with mid-market executives, CEOs, Founders, or institutional investors (PE/VC).
Entrepreneurial Mindset: The desire to build an independent executive practice backed by the collaborative power, brand equity, and safety of an enterprise platform.
