About the Role

A Production Worker S4 (Production Specialist) in the FPA area operates equipment and performs processes to build hardware. They are recognized as an expert within their work cell, possessing excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills. This role rigorously documents processes in electronic tracking systems and executes tasks to ensure equipment and processes remain in control. Highly technical work is performed without supervision, and these individuals are utilized for challenging technical assignments within their areas of expertise.

This is a 2nd shift position (2pm–10:30pm), with schedule negotiable.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in a Safety-First work environment.
  • Work in a class 100 cleanroom, wearing a full bunny suit under yellow lights.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal communication skills with peers, leads, support teams, and management.
  • Handle fragile hardware and manually manipulate small parts during processing.
  • Rigorously follow written procedures and work instructions.
  • Document data on travelers and in electronic databases.
  • Apply advanced skills in processing Focal Plane Arrays (e.g., Hybridize, Wet Etch, Photomask, Fixturing, Hotplate processing, Surface treatment, Wire bond, Metrology, inspection) to build hardware.
  • Execute challenging technical assignments within the work cell.
  • Cross-train as necessary to improve area efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 4 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing, or equivalent.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • More than 4 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing, or equivalent.
  • Experience in Hybridization, Thin Film Deposition, Photolithography, Wet Etch, or other cleanroom Focal Plane Array fabrication work cells.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Extensive knowledge/certifications for multiple work cells in the FPA area.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals and raw production materials.
  • Flexibility to work occasional, voluntary overtime on weekends to meet factory needs.

Pay

The hourly range for this role is $32–$36, representative of all experience levels. Factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills may influence the final offer.
