About the role
The Finance Business Partner role serves as a financial advisor to key business units, leveraging financial insights to drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies. This individual contributor role requires a background in FP&A, strong analytical skills, and the ability to partner effectively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary FP&A partner for assigned business units, offering financial support on forecasting, budgeting, and operational decision-making.
- Build and maintain detailed models for forecasting income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow items.
- Prepare and present monthly performance reviews, providing analysis on trends, risks, and opportunities to C-level executives, including CFOs.
- Support development of annual budgets and long-range strategic plans.
- Deliver clear and actionable financial recommendations that influence functional leaders and improve outcomes.
- Aid in developing business cases for investments, headcount plans, and process changes.
- Lead and contribute to process improvements that enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
- Use NetSuite and Adaptive Planning (preferred) to manage data and produce insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in FP&A or financial roles.
- 2+ years of SaaS or software business experience.
- Track record of delivering insights that drive operational improvements and strategic outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and advise without direct authority.
- Technical expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, and variance analysis.
- Thorough understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and key financial metrics.
- Confident communicator who can translate complex data into insights for non-finance audiences, and collaboration skills across functions.
- Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- NetSuite or Adaptive Planning experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management capabilities.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative finance team.
