FP&A Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern to gain exposure to a broad set of FP&A functions. This is an opportunity to develop finance and business skills on the job by assuming responsibilities in a fun environment with access to training, mentoring, and coaching from our Senior Manager of FP&A.

Duration: 3 months, full-time (Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week). This role is remote but requires you to be located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Access and download financial data from various sources; pursue automation opportunities for repeatable outputs
• Monthly spending and headcount reconciliation, actuals reporting, and variance analysis
• Trend analysis and financial projections
• Prepare standardized and customized financial reports for Taulia management and other stakeholders
• Track performance data and summarize for various audiences
• Other ad hoc finance and accounting projects as needed

Requirements

• Current student in Business, Finance, or Accounting
• Positive attitude and exhibits initiative, self-motivation, and drive
• Flexibility to work on different projects
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Reliable team player
• Eagerness to learn new things
• Passion for numbers and detail-oriented

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Financial Systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
• Prior work experience with responsibilities in finance or accounting

Pay

The hourly rate for this intern position is $25/hour. This range represents a good faith estimate of the base salary at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including skills, depth of experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
