FP&A Analyst
About the role
The Financial Planning & Analysis team at Two Sigma provides decision support across a range of critical initiatives, focusing on financial modeling, statistical analysis, and business informatics. The work utilizes a combination of AI tools, engineering resources, and data to provide transparency, evaluate business drivers, and quantify impacts to the firm in real time. This position offers the opportunity to build and influence the growth and strategy of the firm through insightful, data-driven dashboards and analyses.
Responsibilities
- Partner with key team members across Two Sigma to drive the annual financial planning process, annual projections, and monthly reporting across all businesses and functions
- Build and maintain financial reports and dashboards dedicated to the business and health of Two Sigma, using AI-powered development platforms, databases, and frontend applications
- Build and maintain analytics tooling to accurately model business scenarios and outcomes
- Support the firmwide expense charge-out framework
- Refactor and migrate reporting workflows into scalable SQL-based models to support and enhance existing data feeds and optimize financial reporting capabilities
- Cook with data management practices to build financial dashboards and streamline processes
- Establish and maintain data governance and management frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial data
Qualifications
- 1-5 years of work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Collaborative, resourceful, and experienced with project management
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code) and data management practices to build financial dashboards and streamline processes
- SQL experience required (BigQuery preferred); Python, dbt, and Git experience is a plus
- Front-end development (e.g. React) to support the design of dashboards and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) is a plus

Pay
The base pay for this role will be between $100,000 and $150,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
