Foundry Specialist (All Shifts) - Leeds, AL

Primary Responsibilities

• Moves sand, castings, flasks, or other materials about foundry by hand, using wheelbarrow or cart, or by loading them onto conveyor.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Operate and monitor machine(s)
• Execute setup of machines for production
• Become skilled at various production tasks in order to fill in on an as needed basis
• Ensure quality of produced product
• Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules and operating instructions as well as utilize measuring tools on a daily basis
• Perform basic inspection of assembled product to ensure product meets set quality standards

• Background in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience operating a forklift (preferred but not required)
• Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products
• Able to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's Timekeeping Policy and All Other Company Policies
• Able to consistently stand for entire shift
• Able to work in a team setting
• Strong work ethic and strong attention to detail
• Able to be reliable and trustworthy

Other Duties as Assigned

Additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

Must have background in a manufacturing environment.

Prior experience operating a forklift is preferred, but not required.
