Foundry Plant Manager

About the role

This position serves as the Plant Manager for the Steel and Iron Foundry located in Decatur, Illinois. Reporting directly to the Sr Vice President of Operations, the Plant Manager oversees the operation of the facility, ensuring the achievement of key metrics such as Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Cost.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the safety of employees and comply with OSHA standards.
• Achieve quality standards and maintain ISO certification.
• Achie and exceed OTD targets.
• Manage budgets, costs, and inventory levels.
• Lead and develop a team, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain an EMS system.

Qualifications

• Education: Post-secondary education in engineering or business, Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: At least ten (10) years’ experience in supervisory roles, managing a diverse team.
• Skills: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, safety compliance, budget planning, quality control, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
