Foundry Furnace Operator – Melt Deck

Role: Melt Deck Operator in an iron foundry. Responsibilities Operate and monitor furnaces for gray and ductile iron casting.Charge and tap molten metal, ensuring proper chemistry, temperature, and pour quality.Follow strict safety and PPE standards.Perform basic equipment checks and housekeeping.Document heat and production data.Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and molding teams.Contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications & Skills Ability to operate and monitor foundry equipment safely.Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Basic understanding of metal chemistry and temperature control is preferred.
