Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Design riser and gating systems using casting calculations and solidification modeling.
- Develop casting process parameters for efficient production.
- Collaborate with CAD technicians to create and maintain manufacturing drawings and models.
- Perform and optimize solidification simulations.
- Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Support cost estimation for new and existing projects.
- Participate in safety, quality, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Stay current with foundry best practices and implement improvements.
- Attend production scheduling meetings and coordinate with manufacturing teams.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of Foundry Engineering experience.
- Experience with CREO or SolidWorks CAD software.
- Background in Foundry Engineering, Metallurgy, or Welding Engineering.
- Experience with casting calculations, gating and riser design, and solidification modeling.
- Knowledge of data analysis for process improvement.
- Familiarity with manufacturing automation technologies.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
