SimCare's AI avatars let students train and be evaluated on realistic simulated clients. We wrap that in a complete experiential learning stack of AI LMS, field experience, and compliance agents, used across the whole student journey from admissions to licensure. It’s not just a product—it’s a benchmark. Clinicians and students roleplay with our AI to benchmark their skills.

We run extremely lean: a 2-person engineering team serving 100k+ students across 200+ institutions, on multiple products. We operate this way on purpose. We are deeply AI-pilled, and we manage this scale by writing clean, well-structured code and building practices, tooling, and infrastructure that let AI agents do a huge share of the work. Every engineer here is a force multiplier.

About The Role

We're hiring a Founding Engineer to join us as the third member of the engineering team. You'll own major surfaces of the product end to end: designing, building, shipping, and operating features used daily by students, faculty, and program administrators. You'll work directly with the founders, shape the architecture and engineering culture of the company, and help define how we build with AI agents at the center of our workflow. This is a high-ownership, high-trust role.

You'll move between products, from our AI avatar simulations to our LMS, field experience, and compliance tools, and you'll ship to production constantly. We work 5 days a week, in person, and we expect the pace and intensity that comes with an early-stage company at this kind of scale.

Location & Compensation

We’re based in New York City. We require you to be in person though we are flexible for the first 1-2 months.

• Salary range: $180K – $220K
• Equity: 0.5% – 1.0%
