Founding Engineer

About the role

As a software engineer on the Scritch team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our AI receptionist, Emily, and other veterinary care agents. You will be responsible for integrating LLMs into our product stack, ensuring seamless integration with our existing technologies such as Python, React, TypeScript, Twilio, and AWS. Your work will involve creating and refining AI voice agents that can handle high-stakes conversations, including identifying potential emergencies and assisting distressed pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI voice agents for veterinary practices
• Integrate LLMs into our product stack
• Ensure seamless integration with existing technologies like Python, React, TypeScript, Twilio, and AWS
• Create and refine AI voice agents capable of handling high-stakes conversations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product vision and customer needs

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs
• Experience with Python, React, TypeScript, Twilio, and AWS
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Deep understanding of veterinary care and familiarity with common veterinary practices
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both veterinary professionals and pet owners

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with natural language processing and machine learning
• Passionate about using technology to improve the lives of pets and their owners

Skills

• Experience with LLMs
