Founding Engineer

About the role

This is a full-time, mid-level Founding Engineer position based in Palo Alto, CA, with a hybrid workplace arrangement. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the founding team and help shape both the product and the company. The role requires a DevOps mindset and comfort wearing multiple hats across projects. It is ideal for candidates experienced with open source projects, contributions, or community-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software using Python, Go, and potentially Rust, functional languages, or WebAssembly.
• Design and implement programming languages and compiler structures.
• Manage and configure AWS cloud infrastructure, including Amplify, Lightsail, and Fargate, along with ACL implementation.
• Work with databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Vector Databases.
• Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and maintain responsive communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3-4 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Go.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (Amplify, Lightsail, Fargate).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Vector Databases.
• Background in programming languages and compiler design.
• Experience with open source projects or community-driven development.
• Fluency in English.

Pay

$150,000-200,000/year
