Founding Engineer at Futurelovers
About the Company
Futurelovers.com is a seed-stage San Francisco startup building Hivemind, an AI-native social intelligence product backed by First Round Capital and founders of Twitter, Shopify, and Pinterest. The team, composed of ex-Apple and ex-Midjourney talent, is creating a frontier platform that allows AI to reason across networks of human relationships.
About the Role
As the first full-time engineer at Futurelovers.com, you will co-own the technical foundation of Hivemind from day zero. You will architect core infrastructure for AI-driven social reasoning, bridging the gap between distributed systems and human networks. Working alongside elite design and research talent, you’ll define a new category at the intersection of AI and collective coordination.
Why This Role Is Remarkable
- Join as a founding technical member, shaping the product direction and research alongside a world-class team from Apple and Midjourney.
- Build on an elite foundation backed by First Round Capital and visionary angels like Biz Stone (Twitter) and Tobi Lütke (Shopify).
- Invent original systems for collective intelligence that don't yet exist, solving frontier problems in how AI reasons across human relationship networks.
What You Will Do
- Architect core infrastructure for context management and model orchestration to enable AI reasoning across complex, fractal networks of human relationships.
- Build and scale real-time learning systems that continuously integrate feedback from many users to evolve social narratives.
- Own the entire technical stack from backend to AI infrastructure, moving from high-level vision to production-ready code in days.
The Ideal Candidate
- Possesses production experience shipping and scaling robust distributed systems or AI infrastructure, with a mastery of backend technologies.
- Demonstrates a founder mindset with the ability to own large, ambiguous problems end-to-end rather than just executing predefined specifications.
- Brings experience building social products or a deep understanding of network effects to create technology that enhances human coordination.
