About the role
Exa is building a search engine for the AI era. Our Search API currently powers Agents, Fortune 500s and AI labs as we transform an industry that hasn’t been disrupted since the 90s. We're a largely SF-based team of ~100 from Harvard, MIT, Meta, Google Research, ex-founders & dropouts alike. We are rapidly building the most intelligent search engine in history. We’re high agency, low-ego, and united by the feeling that this is one of the last problems worth getting right.
Responsibilities
- Help build our NYC GTM office from 0->1 (culture cultivation, in-person events, in-person sales)
- Own the entire sales cycle—from first touch to close
- Run product demos that make customers say “wow”
- Develop and execute strategies to land high-value customers
- Work closely with SDRs to keep the pipeline strong and moving
- Negotiate contracts, hit targets, and drive revenue growth
Requirements
- 2+ years in a sales role, ideally in SaaS or AI/tech products
- Experience managing a full sales cycle, from lead generation to close
- Strong communication skills—you can tell a great story and sell a vision
- A consultative approach—help customers see the business value, not just the features
- A competitive edge—you’re driven, persistent, and love closing deals
- Comfort in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment
