Foundation Fellowship

Overview

The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation Graduate Fellowship is designed to invest in emerging leaders passionate about improving community health through food, research, innovation, and collaboration. This one-year leadership fellowship offers exceptional graduate students the opportunity to work directly with Foundation leadership on strategic initiatives that strengthen nutrition, improve food access, advance healthy communities, and shape the future of corporate philanthropy.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic Foundation initiatives from planning through implementation
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, meetings, and follow-up actions
• Prepare executive briefings, presentations, and project updates
• Help quarterback cross-functional initiatives involving Foundation staff, nonprofit partners, researchers, and internal stakeholders
• Conduct research on food systems, nutrition security, Food as Medicine, healthy retail, philanthropy, community health, and emerging trends
• Translate research into concise executive briefs and strategic recommendations
• Benchmark innovative organizations, universities, foundations, and community initiatives
• Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and future Foundation initiatives
• Support collection, organization, and analysis of Foundation impact data
• Aid in developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate outcomes
• Research best practices in evaluation and impact measurement
• Contribute to annual impact reporting and long-term strategic planning
• Prepare presentations, board materials, research summaries, and executive communications
• Cook up administrative details that support strategic initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness through thoughtful systems, project coordination, and AI-enabled tools

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a master’s program in Food Systems, Nutrition, Public Health, Sustainability, Public Policy, Business, Nonprofit Management, Agriculture, Environmental Studies, or a related field
• Outstanding research, writing, analytical, and project management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Interest in AI tools and emerging technologies
• Passion for healthy food, healthier communities, and mission-driven leadership
