Foundation Development Specialist
About the role
Lead fundraising strategy and execution for leadership giving groups, driving annual revenue growth through membership contributions, sponsorships, and targeted development initiatives.
Build and strengthen donor relationships through personalized outreach, stewardship, and engagement efforts that increase philanthropic support and long-term retention.
Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospective donors, managing a portfolio of annual and mid-level contributors to expand the fundraising pipeline.
Collaborate with internal teams and volunteer leaders to align fundraising priorities, analyze campaign results, and implement strategies that improve donor engagement and revenue performance.
Responsibilities
- Drive annual revenue growth through membership contributions, sponsorships, and targeted development initiatives.
- Personalize outreach to donors to build and strengthen relationships.
- Manage a portfolio of annual and mid-level contributors to expand the fundraising pipeline.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns from planning through execution, ensuring timely donor communications, gift acknowledgment, and measurable campaign performance outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and volunteer leaders to align fundraising priorities, analyze campaign results, and implement strategies that improve donor engagement and revenue performance.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Qualifications
- Proven fundraising success of $250,000+ annually strongly preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in donor management software.
