Foster Care Intake Coordinator

About the role

The Foster Care Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing the intake process for foster care applications.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess potential foster families
• Interview applicants and gather necessary documentation
• Coordinate with social workers and legal representatives
• Prepare and submit foster care applications
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to foster families

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in foster care or social work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Knowledge of state and federal foster care regulations
