Forward Deployed Engineer (up to $250k)

About the role

This company is applying AI to claims processing for major carriers, achieving significant ARR in under a year and backed by leading VCs known for early investments in foundational AI companies. You’ll be the trusted technical partner embedded within client carriers, owning deployments end-to-end from scoping to go-live. Expect to be the primary contact for senior stakeholders while also hands-on building and shipping multi-modal agentic AI systems and integrations. This seat is for founders and operators who want both the strategic client relationships and the deep technical execution.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI deployments for major insurance carriers, from initial scoping to successful go-live.
• Design, build, and evolve multi-modal agentic AI systems, leveraging prompt engineering, model integration, and AI-assisted development.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for senior client stakeholders, translating complex AI capabilities into business outcomes.
• Work hands-on with client tech teams to integrate AI solutions via APIs and custom environments.
• Scope and develop new features based on client needs, feeding critical insights back into the core product roadmap.

Requirements

• 2+ years in a forward-deployed, agent engineering, or founding role, combining deep technical execution with client ownership.
• Proven ability to build and ship production-grade code in Python, with strong command of APIs, cloud platforms, and modern AI/ML tooling.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI concepts, leveraging AI-assisted development workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business outcomes for executive audiences.
• A founder's mindset: you own problems end-to-end, move with urgency, and are comfortable both coding and managing client relationships.
