About the role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Strala, you will own the end-to-end deployment of multi-modal, agentic AI systems for enterprise insurance carriers. You will combine deep technical execution in Python and LLMs with high-level client strategy, acting as the primary partner for senior executives while shipping production code that impacts millions of claims.

What you will do

• Individually scope, build, and deploy multi-modal AI agents using Python and LLMs, managing the entire lifecycle from initial prototype to production go-live.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for senior client stakeholders, including CIOs and VPs, to align AI adoption with business priorities.
• Collaborate with the core platform team to translate client insights into new product features, ensuring seamless integration with complex legacy enterprise APIs.

Ideal candidate

• Possesses 2+ years of experience in technical, client-facing roles such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Agent Engineering, or as a Founding Engineer.
• Demonstrates mastery of Python and modern AI/ML tooling, with a proven track record of shipping production-grade agentic AI or LLM-based workflows.
• Thrives in high-stakes, fast-paced environments, operating with a founder mindset to solve complex problems and explain technical concepts to non-technical executives.
