Position Summary

This Site Manager I position oversees and actively participates in the day-to-day operations of the assigned outpatient facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and proactively addressing employee, patient, and physician matters and concerns
  • Ensuring compliance with physician and technologist protocols, patient procedures, quality control, and regulatory issues
  • Ordering supplies, managing timekeeping for permanent staff, conducting evaluations, and fostering positive relationships with referring offices
  • Resolving conflicts and promoting excellent customer service
  • Covering clinical technologist duties when not performing administrative leadership functions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a mammography technologist, essential clinical duties include:

  • Gathering previous images, paperwork, and questionnaires provided by the patient
  • Scheduling patients for the correct exams
  • Evaluating and obtaining images of patients before sending them to the radiologist
  • Tracking patient files and assisting in the retrieval of prior outside studies

Additionally, clinical duties as a Site Manager include:

  • Interviewing/hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and developing staff
  • Performing performance evaluations for all site staff
  • Maintaining clinical operational performance metrics such as volumes, scheduling, quality, and patient engagement
  • Collaborating with scheduling supervisors, schedulers, and referring physicians to resolve issues and concerns
  • Managing staffing needs for expansion and creating flexible work schedules
  • Managing timekeeping for direct reports, including inputting missed punches, making time adjustments, and approving PTO
  • Monitoring and tracking overtime, attendance, and timekeeping
  • Providing staffing hours for the front desk on a monthly basis
  • Overseeing the orientation of new Mamm Tech hires and coaching/retraining employees
  • Communicating regularly with staff and encouraging suggestions for improving patient care and the work environment
  • Ensuring proper equipment maintenance and availability of necessary supplies

Qualifications

  • Education/Licensing/Certification: Junior College/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology; Associate Degree preferred; ARRT/CPR
  • Experience: 1+ years of Mammography, healthcare management, and diagnostic training (optional)
  • Knowledge: Anatomic knowledge of breast tissue pattern and related structures, radiographic technique and positioning, ultrasound positioning and anatomy (if stationed at a diagnostic site), clinical site procedure and workflow, and knowledge of departmental needs for smooth day-to-day operations
  • Skills: Computer literacy, reading and interpreting medical reports, presenting pertinent information, excellent communication and customer service skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, self-motivation, ability to multi-task, detail orientation, confidentiality, willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, walking and standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, radiation, infectious disease, bloodborne pathogens, overtime as needed, work outside of normal M-F business hours as needed
