Formulation Technician II - Nights - D shift

Schedule

12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a rotating schedule with a 10% differential for night shifts.

Environmental Conditions

• Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
• Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
• Cleanroom environment: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, or facial hair allowed
• Exposure to cold rooms/freezers (-22°F / -6°C)
• Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold)
• Laboratory setting with loud noises from equipment/machinery
• No contact lenses allowed; prescription glasses provided
• Rapid flashing lights
• Required PPE: safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.
• Standing for the full shift
• Strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products, etc.)
• Various outside weather conditions
• Warehouse environment
• Work with hazardous/toxic materials
• Working at heights

About the Role

As part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG) at the High Point, NC site, you will operate encapsulating machines to produce gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). The role involves ensuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment setups, in-process measurements, and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture simple, bulk products
• Observe machine operation and adjust as needed
• Take samples of product and perform in-process testing
• Assist with machine setup, cleaning, and changeovers
• Operate inline printing equipment
• Perform cleanup and other encapsulation duties as needed
• May perform other reasonable, related business duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or a lab setting (preferred: cGMP environment)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshoot
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift in a 24/7 operation
• Must meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested
• Must be able to work overtime if necessary
