About the role

Location: High Point, NC. As part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG), the site focuses on gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). We offer extensive development and commercial scale capabilities for a variety of softgels technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate an encapsulating machine to produce products from pre-mixed ingredients, ensuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in-process measurements, and quality product.
• Manufacture simple, bulk products.
• Observe machine operation and adjust as needed.
• Take samples of product and perform in-process testing.
• Assist Set-Up person to set up machine, empty basket, and clean and prepare machine for changeover; assist with the actual changeover.
• Assist with cleanup and other Encapsulation duties as needed.
• Operate inline printing equipment.
• Perform other reasonable, related business duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting or related field.
• Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshoot.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift in a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week operation.
• Must be able to meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.
• Must be able to work overtime if necessary.

Environmental Conditions

• Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
• Exposure to loud noises (equipment/machinery).
• Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.
• Standing for full shift.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule from 7 PM – 7 AM (10% differential for Night Shift).
