Formulation Scientist

About the role

Support research scientists in experiments following company protocols, methods, and procedures. Perform analysis on peptides, nucleic acids, proteins, and antibodies using wet chemistry techniques and instruments such as HPLC, Solo-VPE, MFI, AKTA, DLS, HI-AC, and Viscosity. Assist in formulating and characterizing lipid nanoparticles, biologics, nucleic acids, and buffers. Adhere to GLP and good documentation practices using electronic lab notebooks. Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and safety while ensuring high-quality and efficient laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Support research scientists with experiments based on company protocols and procedures.
• Perform analysis on peptides, nucleic acids, proteins, and antibodies using techniques like HPLC, Solo-VPE, MFI, AKTA, DLS, HI-AC, and Viscosity.
• Formulate and characterize lipid nanoparticles.
• Assist with the formulation of biologics, nucleic acids, and buffers.
• Follow GLP and good documentation practices using an electronic lab notebook.
• Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Ensure adherence to quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations.
• Independently troubleshoot and interpret experimental results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field with 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field with less than 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
• Understanding of industry practices and standards.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with pipetting, pH, UV-VIS, and HPLC.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.

Pay

$30-$44 per hour based on education and experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates within a commutable distance of Boston, MA are encouraged to apply.
