FORMAX OPERATOR - A Shift

About the role

JBS USA is seeking a non-exempt Formax Operator to join their Greeley, CO Value Added Plant. The position offers a starting hourly wage of $23.50 up to $27.50, along with benefits including paid vacation and holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

• Direct the workforce to ensure product is packaged properly with no leaks.
• Keep up on Formax maintenance needs.
• Prepare all pre-operational paperwork and ensure HACCP forms are completed before start-up.
• Assemble Formax start-up and begin shift preparations.
• Ensure product is at the correct temperature for packaging.
• Prepare downtime reports for the Formax machine.
• Perform clip and seal checks.
• Monitor chubs to ensure proper weight of products.
• Assure the correct number of boxes are produced for each outgoing load.
• Perform any other duties as reasonably associated with the above duties as assigned.
• Maintain product counts.
• Stimulate maximum safety, efficiency, motivation, and productivity.
• Anticipate and determine causes of delays in operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
• Responsible for meeting volume goals, reducing claims, maximizing yields, and reducing costs.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant or similar setting.
• Ground beef experience preferred but not required.
