Forklift Warehouse Operator 1st Shift
About the role
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Wilmington, Illinois. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path you can feel good about. Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
- Handle daily paperwork in a warehouse setting (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during peak production hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
- Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
- High degree of accuracy, even under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
Qualifications
- Punctuality and good attendance record.
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Working using health and safety methods.
- Flexible schedule availability on various shifts.

Pay
Weekly base pay: $21.00 per hour, with a 3% increase after one year.
Schedule
A Shift: Sunday - Tuesday, 5:00am-4:30pm, Wednesday, 5:00am-10:45am.
