Ryder is hiring for a permanent full-time Warehouse Forklift Operator in Milton, Pennsylvania.

Schedule

After the training period, shifts are Monday through Friday with weekend work as required:

  • 1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM – $23.87/hr starting pay
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM – $23.87/hr starting pay (plus $1.00 after shift assignment)
  • 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM – $23.87/hr starting pay (plus $1.25 after shift assignment)

Pay

Warehouse positions pay weekly.

About the Role

Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Equipment used includes hand dolly, sit-down forklift, stand-up walkie-rider, and case-picking tools.

Responsibilities

  • Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
  • Ensure all scanning is completed correctly
  • Train dock employees on new procedures
  • Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate and resolve scanning issues and housekeeping
  • Perform picking and packing duties
  • Check for evidence of product or container damage
  • Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required
  • Participate in workgroup and team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations
  • Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred
  • Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.), including operation and maintenance (e.g., changing batteries, recognizing mechanical issues)
  • May be required to operate manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment (e.g., packaging line)
  • Powered industrial truck certification
  • Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, and policies
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to input data into WMS computer systems
  • Willingness to work overtime as assigned
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment and self-driven to excel
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices
