Forklift Warehouse Material Handler
About the role
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Tracy, California. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks.
- Handling day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
- Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
- A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to work within a diverse work environment.
- The ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to work using health and safety methods.
- The ability to perform tasks within performance measurement guidelines.
- The ability to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts.
- The ability to be punctual and maintain a good attendance record.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, even under pressure.
- The ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred. Valid Forklift Operator's License certified. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse work environment. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors). Ability to work within a diverse work environment. Highly thorough and dependable. Must be punctual and have a good attendance record. Possesses a high degree of initiative. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure. Performs work independently with minimal supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills
Highly detailed and organized. Excellent follow-up practices. Proficient in using forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Pay
$23.00 per hour. Shift premium may apply.
Schedule
Available Sunday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
