FORKLIFT-SHIPPING - GWINN, MI.
Responsibilities
- Operate shipping forklifts to control and manage mill output/finished product.
- Load output product onto flatbed semi-trailer and rail cars.
- Staging and positioning pallets in the yard to manage mill output and for shipping, loading trucks and rail cars.
- Ensure all loads are safely distributed, loaded, and secured properly.
- Attach and verify tracking and shipping labels correctly.
- Maintain and facilitate proper maintenance of forklifts.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
- A high school diploma or GED required.
- A good attendance, work, and safety record.
- A basic understanding of computers and window-based programs.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Pay
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $25.39. Shift differential is $1.50 more per hour, for hours worked between 4:00pm - 7:00am.
Schedule
Typically 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Shifts rotate every two weeks from days to afternoons: Nights – Monday – Thursday 2:00 P.M. – 10:30 P.M. Friday 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. Days – Monday – Thursday 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.
