Forklift Operator-Warehouse

About the role

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Forklift Operator performs physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, working closely with Manufacturing Operations, Purchasing, and Transport Carriers.

Responsibilities

• Perform all material movements within the Shipping-Receiving Dock/Warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks in Shipping/Receiving.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all logs and cGMP documentation.
• Maintain and complete accurate and timely paperwork such as pull sheets, time sheets, inventory movements, receiving and shipping logbooks, and cGMP documentation.
• Fill out daily forklift inspection reports.
• Gather information regarding inventory movements, manufacturing demands, shipped and received items.
• Assist in resolving inventory movement, over, short, and damaged (OS&D), scheduling, and delivering issues.
• Complete all end-of-shift reports, duties, and cleaning.
• Safely operate power equipment including forklifts (electric jacks, sit-down, stand-ups, cherry picker forklifts), hand tools, and other warehouse devices.
• Process paperwork and utilize the company ERP system to perform inventory transactions.
• Work efficiently to drive process reliability and reduce downtime.
• Assist with training new employees when necessary.
• Cross-train and assist in other areas to support business needs.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe working environment; notify supervisor immediately of any safety concerns, accidents, or injuries.
• Understand and adhere to all cGMP and FDA regulations; identify and report any quality issues to supervisor or quality department.
• Understand and adhere to all Company policies, procedures, SOPs, and Safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Licenses

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years’ forklift/material handling experience within a manufacturing warehouse environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; comprehend SOPs, Batch Records, and training documents.
• Team player who works well with others.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day.
• Ability to safely operate powered equipment including sit-down and stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to perform basic computer transactions.
• Foster and display a positive attitude towards teamwork and professionalism.
