Forklift Operator PT

About the role

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for Part-time Forklift Operators at our Huntsville, AL service center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be tasked with moving all different types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53' long. You will be operating a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Operate a forklift to move freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53' long.
• Read and interpret manifests and interact with a computer display.
• Bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Able to read and interact with a computer display.
• Forklift experience.
• Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Some LTL experience preferred.

Qualifications

Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.

Skills

Must have the ability to read manifests and interact with a computer display.

Pay

$25.54 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, Various Shifts
