Forklift Operator

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform forklift checks to maintain proper working order and report any problems or maintenance that may be needed.
  • Be observant and alert of surroundings at all times.
  • Keep rolls and pallets organized to utilize space and to prevent material damage.
  • Communicate with Supervisors and slitter operators to determine what their needs will be in order to keep production rolling.
  • Set up the production lines rolls and pallets.
  • Set up the slitter’s rolls.
  • Keep a log of rolls returned to stock, which includes the roll number, length, width, gauge and location.
  • Pull orders from location to slitter.
  • Absorb trash in dumpsters.
  • Absorb loading and unloading trucks.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times by following the company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
  • Will at times be asked to perform other duties.

  • GED/High School Diploma or previous manufacturing experience.

The Pay Range For This Role Is 17.95 - 17.95 USD per hour(United Felts).
