Key Responsibilities
- Perform forklift checks to maintain proper working order and report any problems or maintenance that may be needed.
- Be observant and alert of surroundings at all times.
- Keep rolls and pallets organized to utilize space and to prevent material damage.
- Communicate with Supervisors and slitter operators to determine what their needs will be in order to keep production rolling.
- Set up the production lines rolls and pallets.
- Set up the slitter’s rolls.
- Keep a log of rolls returned to stock, which includes the roll number, length, width, gauge and location.
- Pull orders from location to slitter.
- Absorb trash in dumpsters.
- Absorb loading and unloading trucks.
- Work in a safe manner at all times by following the company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
- Will at times be asked to perform other duties.
Requirements
- GED/High School Diploma or previous manufacturing experience.
