ForkLift Operator

About the Role

Primary responsibilities include safely operating the stand-up forklift to load, unload, and put away product. The individual may also operate other equipment and breakdown and receive products from vendors. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed and approved by a manager.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered material handling equipment (standing Stock Picker forklift) safely; certification provided.
• Meet department productivity KPI standards.
• Motivate others during change to achieve positive results.
• Lift 40 lbs. continually.
• Receive and put away incoming orders within a 48-hour window, with attention to detail.
• Handle replenishment of stock from bulk bins to primary locations.
• Maintain good work ethics and effective communication with team members.
• Keep all work areas clean and free of debris.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
• Stand up to 8 hours per day on the forklift.
• Work Saturdays (6 hours, typically 2 per month).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to learn to use computers and radio frequency devices (RF gun).
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain it; experience with an order picker (training provided).
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
