Forklift Operator (Inventory Control)
Description
Maxxima, a leader in LED lighting and electrical products for HD trucks and consumer markets, is hiring a Forklift Operator for their Hauppauge, NY distribution warehouse.
Pay & Schedule
$20-$23/hour (based on experience), weekly pay
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (occasional overtime as needed)
What You'll Do
- Operate a stand-on forklift to receive, load, and unload shipments
- Perform inventory control, cycle counts, and bin/shelf management
- Prioritize purchase orders for productivity
- Cross-train in picking, packing, and shipping
- Support other warehouse projects as needed
What You'll Need
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years operating a forklift in a warehouse/distribution setting (stand-on forklift experience preferred)
- A current, unexpired forklift certification
- A valid driver's license
- WMS (warehouse management system) experience
- A working knowledge of forklift mechanics/maintenance
- The ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for a full shift
- A strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently or on a team
