Warehouse role focused on safe, accurate movement of merchandise using material-handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
- Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
- Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
- Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
- Pulls and prepares products for shipment in accordance with customer and operational requirements.
- Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
- Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
- Moves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loads.
- Maintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product security.
- Assists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directed.
- Ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with company standards.
- Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team and participates in resolution.
- Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
- Reports safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptly.
- Demonstrates basic Excel skills and general computer proficiency to complete required tasks.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Preferred 6 months of forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
- Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.
